Mary-Anne is a very senior banking and finance lawyer with both in-house and private practice experience gained in well-respected financial institutions and a silver circle law firm.

She is a graduate of the University of Sydney and holds two degrees – a Bachelor of Economics (BEc) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Additionally, she was admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of New South Wales

Mary-Anne has worked as an in-house transactional specialist in large clearing banks both here and abroad, advising upon and concluding legal matters pertaining to the provision of bilateral and syndicated lending facilities, structured finance, securitisation and insolvency.

Whilst in-house, she has led and managed a documentation unit with the responsibility of dealing with all day to day transactions conducted by the bank in question and has been instrumental in the establishment of the legal arm of the syndicated lending and securitisation functions.

She is also very experienced in the negotiation and drafting of goods and services contracts.

Whilst spending the majority of her career in-house, Mary-Anne also worked in a professional support lawyer capacity in private practice as a senior precedents lawyer where she re-organised, maintained and drafted all documentary precedents in the banking and finance department of a major city law firm.

Mary-Anne is part of our commercial law team which specialises in advising businesses on commercial matters and the drafting and negotiation of commercial documents.
